Major business supporters

23holden-logo Holden New Zealand's sponsorship of three Holden Vivas for our support co-ordinators has meant so much to patients and their families living with leukaemia.

It has allowed the LBF support team to carry out home and hospital visits and provide a level of care that would have proved extremely difficult without Holden's help. Staff also took part in a highly successful Shave for a Cure.

Simon Lister, Holden's sponsorship and customer relationship manager, said: “The Leukaemia & Blood Foundation gives Holden an opportunity to touch people within the community on a daily basis”.

4Fidelity-Life-Logo Fidelity Life, the country's largest New Zealand-owned and managed life insurance and savings company, has proudly shown its community spirit by supporting the Leukaemia & Blood Foundation.

More than $250,000 has been raised in sponsorship through a variety of fundraising mechanisms including events, street collections, a voucher promotion and a corporate donation. And the company's senior management team even bravely shaved their heads for Shave for a Cure.

Milton Jennings, Chief Executive Officer of Fidelity Life, said: "We just want to help others. This is our way of reassuring New Zealanders that we are here to protect their business, their livelihood and reduce any strain on family relationships.”

Milton also holds the record for the individual raising the most sponsorship money for our 100 Hole Golf Marrowthon.... more than $17,000.

207PwC-logo-1 The Leukaemia & Blood Foundation is delighted to be a charity partner of PwC in the Community, a volunteering and fundraising project which allows all PwC people to make a difference in a practical and tangible way.

PricewaterhouseCoopers has hosted three incredibly successful Shave for a Cure events, involving staff throughout the country and now other companies. So far they have raised more than $250,000.

In 2005 and 2006 PricewaterhouseCoopers hosted the LBF Champions Lunch, the LBF's chance to thank key companies and individuals who have provided substantial support. PwC staff are currently looking at volunteering opportunities with the LBF.

Lead trustee Kathryn Roberts said: “Our staff have really got behind the Shave for a Cure events. It's such a worthwhile cause and one which we as a firm are proud to support."

205Bell-Gully Each year, Bell Gully staff have their heads shaved and hair coloured as part of our Shave for a Cure challenge and have raised tens of thousands of dollars.

3Pascoes-Logo Pascoes the Jewellers have provided more than 100 years of service to New Zealanders. Established in 1906 by James Pascoe, a fully qualified jeweller, the company has gradually expanded from one store in Auckland to 28 stores nationwide.

To celebrate this historic milestone, Pascoes the Jewellers donated a generous $100,000 to the Leukaemia & Blood Foundation.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the following companies, whose kindness has been invaluable to the work of the Leukaemia & Blood Foundation:

SKYCITY

SKYCITY have kindly allowed us to use the Sky Tower and supported the LBF for our annual Firefighters Challenge which is an iconic and popular event. In June 2007 they provided the venue and extremely generous sponsorship for our SKYCITY Dining for a Difference event, which raised an amazing $210,000.

Air NZ

Air NZ's goodwill and kindness were instrumental in making our SKYCITY Dining for a Difference event in July 2007 such a success. They flew in 9 of the 13 chefs accompanied by their Maitre D's and assistants. They also provided flights for the auction prizes. Since then their CEO, Rob Fyfe, and several staff members have lost their locks for the LBF's Shave for a Cure.

The Textile Recycling Centre

Through their pink bag recycling scheme, the Textile Recycling Centre have proved generous sponsors of the LBF over a number of years and we are extremely grateful for their support.

Regency Duty Free

Without the vision and support of Regency Duty Free, we would never have launched our first 100 Hole Golf Marrowthon. Regency Duty Free have helped significantly to ensure the Marrowthon is the success story it is today. They have been consistent and generous supporters of the event and of the Leukaemia & Blood Foundation.
