Richard Haden Memorial Golf Day
The picturesque seaside town of Omokoroa in the Bay of Plenty held the first Richard Haden Memorial Golf Day on Sunday 7 September.
A capacity field of 120 golfers turned out to pay tribute to Richard who recently lost his battle with leukaemia. Richard’s family, friends and colleagues played 18 holes of golf in perfect conditions, making for a very special and successful day in honour of the avid sportsman.
The prize-giving featured a wonderful memorial movie of Richard, a speech from Alex Haden (Richard’s son) and a charity auction.
Generously all funds raised from the event were donated to the Leukaemia & Blood Foundation.
Happy winners Anita Dalley (Ladies First Division) and Denne Stewart (Mens First Division).
