LBF resource library

The Leukaemia & Blood Foundation has a small library of books, DVDs, videos, CD ROMs and journals available for loan.

The resources currently catalogued for loan cover a range of topics. Among them are:

Living with cancer
Titles include: Life, Happiness and Cancer; Cancer and How to Live with It; The Journey through Cancer; How to Help Children through a Parent's Serious Illness, and Living with Leukaemia

Disease/treatment
Titles include: Diagnosis Cancer; Adult Leukaemia; 100 Questions & Answers about Lymphoma; Bone Marrow & Blood Stem Cell Transplants - a Guide for Patients, and About Thalassaemia.

Nutrition
Titles include: Foods that Fight Cancer; and The Cancer Recovery Eating Plan.

Palliative care
Titles include: Communicating with Dying People and their Relatives, and A Time to Grieve.

Journals/newsletters available include: MyeNews (Myeloma Australia newsletter); TIF Magazine (Thalassaemia International Federation); IWMF Torch (International Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia Foundation), and Psycho-Oncology.

There are many other books available for loan, including a selection of text books which may be of interest to nursing staff, including: Essential Haematology in Clinical Practice and Nursing in Haematological Oncology.
