Volunteer

We need people from all walks of life to come, join us and help make a huge difference to people living with blood cancers and related conditions. We can promise you fun, new experiences and the knowledge that you are contributing to such a worthy cause.

We are looking for people who can donate anything from a day a week to only a few hours a month, either just once or on an ongoing basis. We don’t always have a need for volunteers on a regular basis and we most commonly need volunteers to help in our head office in Epsom during working hours (Monday to Friday 08.30am – 5pm). It is not often that we need volunteers on weekends or outside working hours.

Our busiest times of year are when our events are on. Shave for a Cure week generally happens in March, and this is a very busy time for us. We quite often need volunteers to help us out during this time period.

Another of our events is the Firefighter Sky Tower Stair Challenge which happens in May. Again this is another busy period for us which we often use volunteers for.

Volunteering provides ways to:

  • Meet new people
  • Give something back to the community and build a better society
  • Learn new skills and gain experience
  • Find new challenges
