Rodger is Associate Professor of Medicine and the Antony and Margaret Morris Fellow in Cancer Research at the University of Auckland, and a Consultant Haematologist at Auckland City Hospital. He worked for nearly two decades in North America at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale and at The Princess Margaret Cancer Center in Toronto, and was recognized with an American Society of Hematology Scholar Award in 2009 and the Canadian Cancer Society's Rawls Prize in 2018.  He continues to run a research lab in Toronto. He is passionate about blood cancer research and improving treatments for patients.
