While we continue to work behind the scenes to have patients and their families prioritised for RATs, we are now aware you can order and collect them for free around the country if you have any symptoms or are a household contact.
The link to order them is https://requestrats.covid19.health.nz/. You need to go through some simple steps; you will need a mobile phone handy as the first step is getting an activation code in a text message. They will text you a confirmation number and they can then be picked up at a local site to you. You can nominate someone to pick them up for you.
It isn’t the perfect solution, but getting them to those that need them is a priority.
