We’re delighted to share that last month, our very own Tim Maifeleni, Regional Manager at Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand, was officially announced as the 2025 Westfield Newmarket Local Hero.
Through Westfield’s Local Hero programme, Tim has secured a $20,000 grant, which will be used to provide grocery and petrol vouchers to patient families, as well as other practical support that can help alleviate the financial strain that often accompanies a blood cancer diagnosis.
Tim’s win is a testament to the empathy, strength, and unwavering support he offers to patients and whānau navigating blood cancer. We’re so proud to have Tim on our team and grateful for the positive impact he creates every single day, both within LBC and in his wider community.
