Bunnings Shaves

Bunnings' shave a success!

Bunnings has Shaved for a Cure. On 10, 13 and 20 March Bunnings staff shaved their heads to raise funds and awareness for the Leukaemia & Blood Foundation.

The teams shaved their heads and did a bit of waxing as well, for a bit of team-building and community engagement. Their events were part of Shave10 and Bunnings annual Community Fun Day. Bunnings’ Team Members volunteered to shave their heads and invited the community to join in and shave, donate or simply support.

The wonderful days saw other community groups with fundraising activities, performances and displays; as well as, sausage sizzles, bouncy castles for the kids, entertainers and Classic Hits in the stores.

Participating stores included:
Ashburton, Botany, Constellation Drive, Gisborne, Hamilton, Manukau, Mt Maunganui, Mt Roskill, Naenae, Nelson, Palmerston North, Porirua, Riccarton, Rotorua, Shirley,  Whakatane and Whangarei

For more information on how you can sign up to Shave, go to: www.shaveforacure.co.nz

A heartfelt thank you! to the hairdressers and students at the local salons and hairdressing schools who volunteered their time and ability to make the head-shaving possible.807community-fun-day-2010-370
