Power of the mind and your wellbeing

Tara Connell | Friday 2 October | 12.00pm to 1.00pm

The mind has an incredible capacity to both limit us and to set us free.  It is responsible for the choices we make, the things we remember, and the habits and beliefs that shape our live Shakespeare said “There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.” Our thoughts are powerful, and have a direct impact on our wellbeing.  The way we perceive situations and experiences has an impact on our biochemistry, and can contribute to either feelings of calm or feelings of chaos.

The good news is that we can train our minds to help foster greater levels of ease and wellbeing.  During this informative session we will cover some simple and practical tools, tips and techniques to help you harness the power of your mind and contribute to your sense of wellbeing.

Trained in Mindfulness-Based Stillness Meditation at the Gawler Cancer Foundation in Australia, and registered as a Meditation Teacher with Meditation Australia, Tara has a background in corporate training and development, with a special interest in personal effectiveness, the connection between thoughts and behaviours, and the power of the mind to shape and define our present moment experience, and therefore our lives
